IQNA – An exhibition of Quranic and Islamic calligraphy works was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kirgizstan earlier this week.

An exhibition of Quranic and Islamic calligraphy works was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kirgizstan, on August 26-27.

 

The Saudi Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic organized the event at the National Museum of History on August 26-27.

The calligraphy exhibition featured various works by prominent Arabic calligraphy experts, along with a brief introduction to each, WAS reported.

A documentary film was also presented, and an expert calligrapher wrote various lines from verses of the Quran and Hadiths live in front of visitors.

The exhibition was widely welcomed and drew many people as well as officials, including the deputy minister of foreign affairs of Kyrgyzstan, members of parliament, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, members of the media, and a number of Saudi citizens residing in Bishkek.
